Greater swiss mountain dog mix

I will admit I bought this as a back-up for my female German Shorthair in case she had her puppies. But then she did have her puppies (all German Shepherds!) and we ended up with a male and female Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. I was worried about the breed, being it's my first German Shepherd.

So far, everything is going well. I love the breed, but still keep an eye on them. There is still something very puppy-like about them, but they are very smart.

My dog is 9 months old. I bought him as a puppy, I don't know how to breed him. Is this a problem with a female breeder?

I have not fed him raw food but I was thinking about trying that.

My 9 month old GS is a great dog! I fed him raw for about 2 weeks, he does just fine. I do now plan to go back to normal food, I don't want him to get sick.

My GS is a healthy, happy little boy. He has two teeth, which i'm thankful for since I have only had him a month. He is very sweet and adorable. He loves playing with my two cats and getting outside with them when I take him. He's my constant friend, always trying to see what's going on when I'm not around. I've never bred, and will only get one GS puppy because I want him to be the only one, but he is a great addition to our family.

Great dog... I'm the same way. And I have two, the first is a golden and the second is a GS. They're always a good distraction. And they're sweet and have no bad tendencies. I really have to get another one. Good luck.

I got my new puppy on 6/15/2012. He is 4 weeks old, weighs 7 lbs and has had a very easy time of training. My 2 older dogs have been trained, my daughter will help train my new puppy but I am willing to have someone that can do it as well.

Questions to be answered

- If you breed your dog, how are you planning to do it?

- What are your puppy training goals?

- Do you have any concerns or possible problems with your new puppy?

Please give us the answers to these questions before you post your request for a breeding.

Thank you for your questions.

Questions to be answered:

- If you breed your dog, how are you planning to do it? (I will be going to dog shows to be able to compete but I don't plan on showing a puppy until it is older than 6 months.

- What are your puppy training goals? (He needs to be housebroken and I will need to be able to train him in basic commands, he will have the chance to learn agility.)

- Do you have any concerns or possible problems with your new puppy? (no )

My dogs do a lot of walking in the park, and I am worried they will get injured. So I need to learn how to train my puppy to go on a leash?

How long will it take for your puppy to be ready to go for a walk?

How often are you planning on taking your puppy for walks?

What are your dog's normal behaviors during the day? (For example, does your dog play, chase squirrels, etc)

How do you expect your puppy to get along with other dogs? Do you want to teach your puppy to play or fight?

I hope to have a puppy soon, but it's been hard to decide which breed I should get.

I think this question is too general.

What is your experience and age?

What you consider an adult dog?

What are your dog's normal behaviors?

My dog was a rescue and I brought her home when she was 9 weeks old. I've had her for a year now and she is the best dog I've ever had.

I've been researching dog breeds for awhile now, the two breeds I am most attracted to are the Lhasa Apso and the Samoyed. If I get them both as puppies, how do I know which one to train first?

How should I decide which breed of dog to get? How do you keep them both from fighting? Do you prefer larger breeds or smaller? What do you know about the Lhasa's and Samoys?

How do you decide what size dog to get, for example a Chihuahua, Dachshund or Maltese?

I love all dogs, as I just got a new puppy, he's 6 months old. I don't know what type I want but I was told to buy it from a dog pound. What are some breeds I should be looking at? I don't want a giant dog, but I also don't want a small dog.

Hi I was wondering if you could help me with the decision of which dog to get.

In order for me to have a good quality dog I need a breed that can be trained to be a good guard dog and that has a life span that is a minimum of ten
